Caretaker Information Minister, Ziad Makary, on Thursday commended Egypt's supportive stance towards Lebanon in light of the recent Israeli aggression. Makary highlighted Egypt's long-standing commitment to defending Lebanese interests. In response to a solidarity message from Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, Karam Gabr, Makari remarked, "President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi consistently reaffirms Egypt's unwavering support for Lebanon and our close cooperation. Egypt is making significant efforts to de-escalate Israeli actions in Lebanon." Makary also praised Egypt's opposition to assassinations and its calls to avoid expanding the conflict, advocating for a return to ceasefire agreements and peace talks.
