Amman: The Malaysian Embassy in Amman hosted a reception on Monday evening to celebrate Malaysia's National Day. The event was attended by Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Dato' Muhammad Nasri bin Abdul Rahman, his wife, embassy staff, their families, and members of the Malaysian community residing in Jordan.
According to Jordan News Agency, the reception took place at the embassy premises where the Malaysian flag was raised, and national songs were played. During his speech, Ambassador Abdul Rahman highlighted that Malaysia's National Day represents unity and the ongoing process of nation-building. He expressed gratitude to the Jordanian staff at the embassy for their dedication and participation in the celebration.
The event featured a performance of traditional artistic pieces by a group of young Malaysians. The ambassador and his wife later presented certificates of appreciation and awards to children and teenagers who took part in the Malaysian education programme, organised by the Malaysian Embassy Ladies Association in Amman.
