A 66-year-old man died on Sunday shortly after receiving the second shot of a COVID-19 vaccine at an inoculation center on the campus of the University of Jordan (UJ), according to a statement by the university’s media unit.
The man passed out ten minutes after receiving the jab while waiting in a resting area following the vaccination, the statement said, adding that medical staff tried to resuscitate him before he was rushed to the UJ’s hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It indicated that a post-mortem was underway to determine the cause of death.
