Middle East Broadcasting Networks Concludes Strategic Meeting in Amman

Amman:Senior officials from the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (MBN) and Alhurra TV wrapped up their first annual strategic meeting with the network's correspondents from the Middle East and North Africa on Friday. This significant gathering took place in Amman.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting marks a critical point for Alhurra as it continues its transition to a digital-first approach, following a strategic decision to cease television operations. During their time in Amman, the senior network officials also engaged with Jordanian officials, including Government Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani.

The discussions centered on a new editorial strategy that emphasizes the innovative and responsible use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in journalism and news production at MBN. Leading the delegation was MBN President and CEO Jeffrey Gedmin, who is on a regional tour that commenced with high-level meetings in Lebanon with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and other key media executives.

The regional tour, which also includes Editor-in-Chief Leila Bazzi, Chief Editorial Officer Matt Kaminski, and Board Chairman Ryan Crocker, is set to conclude in Jerusalem on Sunday. Bazzi noted that the workshops held in Amman were extremely productive, enhancing the network's strategic goals.

Participants in the sessions included correspondents from Lebanon, Cairo, Baghdad, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Israel, and the United States. MBN Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Regional Coordinator Abdul Rahim Abdullah praised Amman for its role as a central hub for regional dialogue, providing a secure and stable environment for fruitful discussions. He also mentioned plans to organize similar workshops in Amman in the future.
