Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday emphasized the need for the UN Security Council to take a firm stand against Israel's ongoing aggression on Lebanon, including its technological warfare, which has resulted in hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries. Mikati stressed that the international community bears the responsibility to stop Israel's assaults, highlighting that this matter concerns humanity as a whole. The PM also urged that the Security Council meeting, convening at Lebanon's request, must issue a decisive statement to halt what he called Israel's "war of extermination." Additionally, Mikati met with British Ambassador, Hamish Cowell. During the meeting, Mikati called for a firm UK stance in the upcoming Security Council session. Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, also had an audience with Mikati. The PM thanked Qatar for its ongoing support, particularly in the healthcare sector. Further meetings were held with Bangladeshi Ambassador Javed Tanvee r Khan, Minister of Justice Henry Khoury, Minister of Industry George Boujikian, MP Neemat Frem, and employees of the Kadisha Electricity Company.
