Amman: Government Communications Minister Mohammad Momani announced on Wednesday that the government is conducting dialogue sessions on media to effectively communicate the state's message. The meeting, held at the Prime Ministry, included journalists and producers of English-language content in local media as part of the Ministry's efforts to objectively and institutionally evaluate the media scene and address existing challenges. According to Jordan News Agency, this was the first-ever meeting with journalists and content providers in English. Momani emphasized the important role of media outlets that cater to non-Arabic speakers in delivering Jordan's message to the global audience. He encouraged further efforts to communicate the state's message internationally through foreign languages, highlighting the importance of conveying the Kingdom's political positions and its economic, developmental, and tourism programs. Momani also discussed the government's dedication to considering the perspectives of expe rts and stakeholders across various sectors, particularly in the media. He mentioned plans for the Ministry to establish a network linking English-language content providers with international media outlets to enhance collaboration. Journalists and producers of English-language content advocated for the deployment of specialized journalists to English-language departments in official media institutions and called for an increase in the number of bulletins in local Jordanian media.
