Dhiban: Minister of Social Development, Wafa Bani Mustafa, emphasized the substantial achievements of Jordan's charitable societies in serving local communities and contributing to societal production. Speaking at a meeting with leaders of women's associations and initiatives in the Dhiban and Mleih districts of central Madaba governorate, Bani Mustafa outlined the government's commitment to supporting the charitable sector through interest-free loans and backing productive projects under the Productivity Enhancement and Cash Support Programs.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa highlighted the alignment of these efforts with Jordan's political, economic, and administrative modernization paths, spearheaded by His Majesty King Abdullah II and overseen by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. She emphasized that these modernization paths aim to bolster the involvement of women and youth in decision-making processes, aligning with the National Social Protection Strategy for 2025-2033.
The minister encouraged associations to market their handicrafts through the "Khairat Al Dar" platform, managed by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development. She also announced plans to allocate a space for these associations at a permanent exhibition organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in Amman.
Bani Mustafa reiterated the ministry's support for initiatives that create job opportunities or provide services to local communities, assuring attendees that their requests will be reviewed and addressed within the ministry's resources. During the meeting, deputies from the governorate expressed that such engagements demonstrate the government's commitment to enhancing service delivery to citizens.
