Minister: Distinguished institutes to join ‘Study in Egypt’ platform

Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour said the ministry seeks to develop the higher education system in the country as per global quality criteria and in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development. The minister's remarks came at a meeting with deans and board chairmen of a number of distinguished higher institutes on Thursday. The minister said the meeting is the first of its kind and convenes to probe the results of the assessment committee of the higher institutes. He said all distinguished institutes will join 'Study in Egypt' platform in order to receive more foreign students and maximize partnerships with related international bodies with their various scientific specifications. Such institutes are mainly contributing to pushing forward the comprehensive development process, he said. The minister underlined the importance of making strenuous efforts to ensure including these distinguished institutes in international rankings. Source: State Inf ormation Service Egypt
