Amman: Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abu Samen, met on Monday with a delegation from Meinhardt, a leading global planning, engineering and project management company providing services in five continents. The minister briefed the team from Meinhardt Singapore on his Ministry's plans, highlighting investment opportunities in Jordan's contracting and construction sector. He stressed the importance of regular meetings between the public and private sectors of Jordan and Singapore and bolster cooperation in road and bridge construction, infrastructure, housing, project management, engineering supervision and advisory services. Meinhardt Group International CEO Shahzad Nasim gave a briefing on the company's operations and projects in infrastructure, transportation, water, airports, railways, housing, and highrises, noting the growing ties between Jordan and Singapore, which will have an impact on engineering projects in the two countries. The delegation will hold technical talks soon with officia ls from the ministry and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation to explore avenues forward across various sectors.
