Amman:The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and rationalizing energy consumption in GAM's buildings and facilities.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement also focuses on building the capacity of GAM's staff through specialized training in the field of energy efficiency. The MoC was signed by Minister of Energy Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh and Chairman of the GAM Committee Ahmad Malkawi.

The initiative, described by Kharabsheh as central to the sector's strategy, aims to foster a culture of energy conservation. He emphasized the importance of this partnership in reinforcing GAM's role in promoting energy conservation practices, setting a benchmark for other government institutions.
