Amman: The Ministry of Youth signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) to initiate the "Techno Youth 2025 - Second Cohort / Riyadi-Tech" program. This launch, under a two-year cooperation framework, marks the first phase of the program aimed at empowering Jordanian youth.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Minister of Youth Yazan Shdaifat and University President Ismail Hinti at the Ministry's headquarters. The MoU focuses on developing specialized training programs in key sectors such as information technology, agriculture, water, and communications. These programs aim to align with both local and regional labor market needs, thereby enhancing the academic and professional capabilities of the youth.

Shdaifat emphasized the importance of the collaboration with HTU, recognizing the university as a national leader in technical and applied education. He pointed out that the agreement signifies a mutual commitment to providing youth with educational, training, and employment opportunities, which supports the national economic modernization agenda.

Hinti expressed that the partnership reflects the university's dedication to extending education beyond the conventional classroom setting. He highlighted the importance of equipping youth with practical skills necessary for their future careers. Hinti further stated that this collaboration is intended to reinforce technical education and connect it to actual labor market demands, hoping to create significant pathways for Jordanian youth.

The collaboration entails practical training opportunities for university students at youth centers and includes the exchange of expertise through student-led initiatives. It also covers the implementation of scouting programs, organization of joint youth camps, and cooperation in technical research and development to enhance youth participation in national development.

The first phase of the program is executed by the Youth Leadership Development Center at the Ministry and the Career Development and Community Outreach Center at HTU. It offers specialized training that combines entrepreneurship concepts with technical skills through interactive and hands-on methods. This approach enables participants to develop innovative projects, improve their employability, and contribute to the national digital economy.
