Amman: The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and the Department of Antiquities (DoA), has announced a series of tourist and cultural events set to take place during the Eid al-Adha holiday at various tourist and archaeological sites across the nation.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Fadi Balawi, the Ministry's Secretary General, stated in a press release that these events, scheduled for the second and third days of Eid, aim to encourage domestic tourism and strengthen the connection of citizens and visitors with Jordan's rich cultural and civilizational heritage.
Dr. Balawi emphasized the Ministry's commitment to ensuring that the activities cater to all family members, contributing to an integrated tourist experience that combines entertainment, culture, and history. He urged the public, residents, and visitors to participate in the festive atmosphere, highlighting that the program includes a variety of folkloric performances showcasing Jordan's cultural diversity.
In addition to the folkloric performances, the events will feature concerts by a selection of local artists and poetry evenings designed to celebrate the aesthetics of Jordan's popular heritage.
