Amman: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has unveiled an opportunity for students with the announcement of six scholarships for bachelor's degree programs in technical fields in China for the 2025-2026 academic year. These scholarships are part of a cultural exchange initiative and will be conducted in Chinese.
According to Jordan News Agency, the scholarships will cover tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly stipend, and medical insurance, while students will need to finance their travel expenses. The ministry has set specific criteria for applicants, emphasizing that they must be under 25 years of age and possess a valid HSK Level 3 certificate in the Chinese language, obtained from an accredited academic center or the Chinese Embassy in Amman.
Applicants are required to choose their university and program through the Campus China website and secure preliminary acceptance. The application process involves visiting the site, completing the application via the "Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System," and submitting a printed version in person to the Ministry's Directorate of Scholarships.
The comprehensive application must include several documents, such as a research proposal in Chinese, valid passport, birth certificate, high school transcripts, HSK certificate, medical examination and clearance forms, police clearance certificate, and personal photos. All documents must also be uploaded to the online application system.
The application window is open from January 26 to February 13. Priority will be given to students who achieved high scores on the Jordanian General Secondary Certificate in 2024, with remaining seats allocated to previous years' students if necessary. Only technical specializations are eligible, and students must adhere to the 2023 regulations for the equivalency of non-Jordanian certificates.
