Al-Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) and Mitsubishi Motors signed an agreement on Sunday, under which the Japanese automobile manufacturer offers scholarships in hybrid and electric vehicles (HEV) majors for BAU’s top mechanical engineering students.
BAU President Ahmad Al Ajlouny said the signing of the memorandum of understanding underscores the importance of technical education, lauding Mitsubishi’s support as well as a previous grant for the Faculty of Engineering Technology laboratories and the development of the hybrid and electric vehicles diploma curriculum.
The application period for the scholarships will be announced this month, he added.
The scholarships aim to financially aid top students and alleviate their financial concerns.
