Miyahuna Drills New Well in Al-Baqa’a to Boost Water Supply

Amman: Mohammad Kharabsheh, CEO of Miyahuna, inspected on Tuesday the progress of drilling Al-Baqa'a Well No. 4, a new groundwater source supplying water in Ain Al-Basha District, one of Balqa Governorate's most densely populated areas. The project forms part of a joint effort by the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and Miyahuna to expand water resources and improve the reliability of water distribution to meet the growing demand across the district.

According to Jordan News Agency, Kharabsheh also toured four water pumping stations to assess their operational readiness, network maintenance, and ongoing measures to improve supply efficiency. He directed technical teams to accelerate responses to network failures and customer complaints, closely monitor water distribution schedules, and ensure consistent service delivery.

Kharabsheh stated that the district's water supply remains stable, emphasizing the need for close coordination with local authorities to prevent tampering with water valves and distribution schedules.
