Amman: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi published on his account on "X" excerpts from his two-day visit to the Kingdom, which concluded on Tuesday. In a post at the end of the visit, Modi wrote, "My visit to Jordan has been immensely productive. I thank His Majesty King Abdullah II and the people of Jordan for their exceptional friendship. Our discussions have strengthened the India-Jordan partnership across key areas such as renewable energy, water management, digital transformation, cultural exchanges and heritage cooperation."
According to Jordan News Agency, the outcomes achieved during the visit are expected to open new avenues for progress and prosperity for the citizens of both nations. Modi expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II for his gesture of coming to the airport as Modi departed from Jordan. Modi also appreciated the Crown Prince for showcasing different aspects of Jordan's history and culture during his visit to The Jordan Museum.
In his reflections on the discussions held with His Majesty King Abdullah II at Al Husseiniya Palace on Monday, Modi highlighted the productive nature of their talks. He acknowledged King Abdullah II's personal commitment to fostering vibrant India-Jordan relations, especially as the countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of their bilateral diplomatic relations. Modi emphasized that this milestone will continue to inspire both nations to move forward with renewed energy in the future.
Modi outlined an 8-point vision aimed at further deepening ties with Jordan. The vision includes collaboration in areas such as trade and economic cooperation, fertilizers and agriculture, information technology, healthcare, infrastructure, critical and strategic minerals, civil nuclear cooperation, and people-to-people ties.
