Manama, The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture has completed planting a total of 8,300 trees in the first two phases of its tree-planting project in the Shaikh Hamad Road in Hamad Town, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, said. During an inspection tour of the project on Shaikh Hamad Road in Hamad Town, the undersecretary said the ministry has now launched the third phase, aiming to plant an additional 2,500 trees, bringing the total target for Shaikh Hamad Road to 10,800 trees over a stretch of 18 kilometres. The undersecretary emphasised the ministry's commitment to implementing sustainable initiatives in coordination with relevant entities, contributing to Bahrain's comprehensive development goals, environmental preservation, and biodiversity enhancement.
