Amman: Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, inaugurated the new expansion of the Comprehensive Government Service Centre in Amman's Muqabaleen neighborhood on Tuesday. The project seeks to accommodate the increasing number of visitors and enhance the service delivery environment to address citizens' growing needs.
According to Jordan News Agency, Smeirat emphasized that the expansion is a direct response to citizens' requests, as the facility handles a daily turnout of between 1,000 and 1,300 visitors from both inside and outside the capital. The expansion aims to increase the center's capacity and prepare for the introduction of new services, facilitating citizens' ability to process their transactions in a single location.
The minister highlighted that the development process extends beyond just expanding service venues. It also focuses on improving the internal work environment to ensure employee comfort and enhance their efficiency, which in turn impacts the quality of service provided to citizens. He reiterated the ministry's commitment to expanding the scope of digital and in-person public services.
Smeirat outlined the goals of this long-term vision, noting that the development of government service centers is a fundamental pillar in implementing the Economic Modernization Vision and the public sector development roadmap. Enhancing citizens' confidence in public services remains a key objective.
