- Mutah University ranked 60th among Arab universities according to the QS 2025 ranking, out of 246 participating universities. According to the results of the ranking, Mutah University ranks among the top 24 percent of Arab universities, the Mutah University President Salameh Al-Naimat told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), noting that 24 Jordanian universities participated in the ranking this year, which saw 25 new Arab universities join compared to the previous year, when 223 universities participated. He added that the ranking is one of the most important rankings at the level of Arab universities and is based on ten basic criteria, including: Academic reputation, career reputation, student-faculty ratio, international research collaboration, percentage of faculty members with a doctorate degree, percentage of citations of research published in the Scopus database, percentage of research published by faculty members, impact of the university's website, percentage of international faculty members, and perc entage of international students. He expressed the university's interest in expanding its academic and research network with Arab and international universities, investing in modern education and instilling the values of leadership, innovation and sustainable development. For his part, Dean of Scientific Research, Osama Al-Mohawesh, said that the university focused on promoting scientific research by providing incentives for publication, stimulating international research cooperation, updating regulations and promotion instructions, in addition to keeping abreast with modern teaching methods and offering specializations that meet the needs of the labor market.
