Amman:The potential of nanotechnology to drive scientific research and industrial innovation was the focus of a specialized lecture organized by the Jordanian Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship and Creativity.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event titled "Nanotechnology and Its Multiple Applications: A Future Vision" gathered researchers, academics, and specialists to explore the emerging applications of nanotechnology and its prospects for transforming scientific research into practical solutions and market-ready products.
Tamara Athmanah, an assistant professor at the Nanotechnology Institute at Jordan University of Science and Technology and a scientific research and innovation adviser at Manaseer Group, emphasized the growing applications of nanotechnology across various fields. She highlighted its potential to foster innovation and develop advanced solutions to contemporary challenges.
Athmanah underscored the importance of translating research outcomes into practical technologies and products, advocating for stronger partnerships between universities, industry, and institutions that fund and promote research and innovation.
Participants at the lecture discussed strategies to enhance the scientific research and innovation ecosystem, including providing greater support for researchers and projects that can deliver tangible economic and social impacts. They also stressed the importance of aligning nanotechnology research with industry needs and national development goals.
Reda Al-Khawaldeh, President of the society and moderator of the lecture, noted that specialized scientific forums are crucial for facilitating the exchange of expertise and strengthening connections among researchers, academics, and relevant sectors. He reaffirmed the society's dedication to promoting scientific dialogue and initiatives that support research, entrepreneurship, and innovation in Jordan.
