National Charter Party Bloc Welcomes King’s Directive to Boost Student Fund

Amman: The National Charter Party Bloc praised the royal directives issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II to the government to increase allocations to the University Student Support Fund by JD5 million.

According to Jordan News Agency, the increase brings the total allocations for the fund this year to around JD40 million, allowing thousands of students to benefit from additional scholarships provided by the fund and easing the financial burdens on students and their families.

The bloc also commended government efforts in preparing the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision, which includes 392 projects to be funded in partnership with the private sector. It noted that the expected investment volume within these partnerships will reach nearly JD10 billion during the program implementation period, with tenders and implementation of some projects scheduled to begin this year, particularly in the energy, water, transport, and infrastructure sectors.

Regarding public sector modernization, the bloc stressed that efficient management through an effective public administrative apparatus forms the foundation for the empowerment and evaluation stage across various fields.
