Amman: The Jordan national football team opened its training session on Thursday in preparation for its 2026 FIFA World Cup match against Argentina, paying tribute to supporter Zaid Al-Damasi, who passed away in Amman while attending the team's match against Algeria on Tuesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the session began with a minute of silence in his memory, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha by players and members of the technical and administrative staff, in a gesture of respect and appreciation for the team's supporters. The tribute reflected the strong bond between the national team and its fans, who continue to stand behind the squad in all circumstances.
