According to Jordan News Agency, the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) has initiated a nationwide awareness campaign featuring more than 10 digital initiatives. This campaign is aimed at diverse groups including children, older people, employees, and businesses.
The campaign aligns with Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October and is part of a broader effort to enhance understanding of cyber threats and promote safer digital habits as part of everyday life. It serves as an umbrella for NCSC's awareness programs, incorporating digital content, television and radio messaging, street displays, and social media outreach.
Workshops and lectures will be organized for various institutions and societal segments. Additionally, the initiative includes a cybersecurity podcast, specialized competitions for creating awareness content, and other public activities.
NCSC President Mohammad Samadi emphasized that expanding cybersecurity awareness is crucial for bolstering protection against digital risks. He stated that awareness is a key element of cybersecurity, and building a society capable of effectively responding to digital threats requires ongoing outreach through various communication tools and channels.
The campaign aims to deliver customized content for employees, women, children, teenagers, older people, and businesses, addressing the unique online risks and challenges each group faces. This strategy is meant to extend the responsibility for cybersecurity beyond specialized institutions, encouraging individuals and organizations to actively participate in protecting the national digital environment.
The NCSC also highlighted that the campaign's long-term goal is to integrate cybersecurity awareness into the daily routines of individuals and institutions, thereby enhancing public engagement in efforts to safeguard Jordan's cyberspace.
