Amman: National Centre for Cyber Security (NCSC) Director-General Mohamed Al-Samadi stated that the responsibility for data protection has evolved from being an individual concern to an institutional obligation that directly impacts business continuity. Al-Samadi emphasized that the NCSC remains a supportive partner for organizations looking to transition to this institutional framework.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Samadi made these remarks at a workshop titled "Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)." The event was organized by Waseela, an information and communications technology infrastructure integration company, in collaboration with Zscaler, a global cloud network security firm, and in cooperation with the NCSC.
Waseela Jordan General Manager Qusai Al-Tarazi highlighted that the workshop served as a significant step towards a collective institutional responsibility, extending beyond individual efforts to ensure business continuity. Zscaler Regional Vice President Saeed Agha discussed the rapid pace of digital transformation and the changing cybersecurity landscape, underscoring the necessity to adapt to these developments and enhance preparedness for emerging challenges.
The workshop offered sessions on network access and digital transformation utilizing a zero trust approach. These sessions featured live demonstrations on real-world platforms and showcased direct access scenarios. Participants received a comprehensive overview of the current cybersecurity environment.
The event gathered technology officials and cybersecurity leaders from various government entities and private-sector institutions across governorates.
