The Electric Training Center (ETC) affiliated with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) held two training programs on Wednesday, for trainees from the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA) and the Jerusalem District Electricity Company on transformer maintenance and underground power cable connections. The two programs were held in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) within Third Country Training Program (TCTP), while the center is working to hold 4 other training activities within the same project during the next two months for power workers from Palestine and Iraq. According to an ETC statement, the center received a total of 48 Palestinian trainees during the current year, bringing their total number to 715 beneficiaries from Palestine. Meanwhile, the ETC noted the total number of trainees in the center since its establishment has reached more than 20,400, including 3,640 from outside Jordan. Source: Jordan News Agency
