Amman: The Traffic Department of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, has introduced the "Report a Violation" service through the "Sanad" e-government app. This new feature allows citizens to electronically report various traffic violations and behaviors observed on the roads throughout the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, the service provides comprehensive details on specific road violations and includes an option for users to attach photos or videos documenting the incidents. Once submitted online through the app, the reports are processed by the relevant authorities following established procedures.
The range of reportable violations under this new service includes double parking, vehicle plate violations, inconsistencies in public transportation, reckless and stunt driving, and other hazardous practices. The Ministry and the PSD have assured that the identity of the reporter will be treated with complete confidentiality.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to deploy digital services aimed at enhancing communication with citizens, improving road safety, and empowering the public to participate in monitoring dangerous behaviors and practices on the roads. To submit a report, users can access the "Sanad" app, select the "Report a Violation" service from the quick access menu, and fill in the necessary information.
