New Water Attacks Dismantled in Ain Al-Basha District: JWA

Ain al-basha: The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and Jordan Water Authority (JWA), in collaboration with relevant authorities, have uncovered illegal attacks on main water lines in the Ain al-Basha district. These fixtures were found to be illicitly supplying farms, nurseries, and homes, thereby infringing on citizens' allocated drinking water quotas.

According to Jordan News Agency, the JWA reported that its teams discovered these attacks during routine inspection tours. It was revealed that farms and nurseries were unlawfully diverting water from several mains. All unauthorized fixtures were disconnected, and the attacks were dismantled. The case has been forwarded to judicial authorities for further investigation.

The JWA emphasized its zero-tolerance policy in safeguarding citizens' water rights and addressing these challenges, which pose a significant threat to the Kingdom's water sector. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing crackdowns in various regions to ensure strict control over all water resources.
