Ninth global fatwa conf. affirms Egypt’s crucial role in promoting int’l peace: Foreign ministry

The Ninth Global Fatwa Conference affirms Egypt's pioneering role in promoting international peace and security through disseminating values of coexistence and combating terrorism, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid. The conference, which will be hosted by Egypt, is considered an international event that will see the participation of scholars from 100 countries, added Abu Zeid on his "X" account. The General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide will organize on Monday a two-day conference under the title of "Fatwa and The Ethical Foundation in an Accelerating World."
