Northeastern Badia Education Directorate Hosts Seminar to Boost Road Safety Awareness

Northeastern badia: The Northeastern Badia Education Directorate recently organized a seminar focused on road safety awareness, aiming to foster collaboration between educational and security institutions and instill a culture of road safety within the student body and broader school community. According to Jordan News Agency, the head of the directorate, Abdullah Al-Shorufat, emphasized the critical nature of such seminars and awareness programs for students and educational staff. He highlighted that road safety awareness is a crucial aspect of the educational system due to its direct impact on student protection and the promotion of positive road behaviors. Al-Shorufat noted that schools have a responsibility that extends beyond academic instruction, which includes developing students into conscientious and responsible individuals who adhere to laws and regulations. He stressed that promoting road safety is a collective duty that necessitates the combined efforts of families, schools, security agencies, a nd other community institutions. Brig. Gen. Samer Al-Adwan, the Northeastern Badia Police Director, underlined the necessity of increasing awareness programs and activities aimed at students and the community. These programs are designed to familiarize participants with traffic rules and safe road-use practices, which are fundamental in preventing road accidents. He highlighted the essential cooperation between security agencies and educational institutions in conveying these important messages and fostering a culture of legal compliance and respect for other road users. The seminar also featured insights from the head of the Traffic Department in Mafraq, who emphasized the pivotal role of relevant authorities in traffic awareness and guidance, beyond their regulatory and operational duties. He urged road users to adhere to traffic rules, maintain vigilance while driving, and avoid behaviors that could lead to accidents. Northeastern Badia Mufti Dr. Marzouq Al-Shorufat discussed the religious, ethical, and social obligations tied to observing traffic rules and safe road-use practices. He stressed that protecting human life and ensuring safety are paramount duties that should be instilled in students from an early age. Dr. Al-Shorufat called for the reinforcement of a culture that respects law and order, underscoring the importance of integrating road safety awareness into students' daily lives and behaviors. The seminar addressed essential traffic rules, the significance of adhering to traffic signals and signs, safe road behaviors, and the potential dangers of not complying with traffic laws and regulations.
