Northern Military Zone Foils Drug Smuggling Attempt

Amman: The Northern Military Zone thwarted a major drug smuggling attempt on Saturday along one of its border fronts within its area of responsibility. Rules of engagement were applied, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics. The confiscated materials were referred to the competent authorities.

According to Jordan News Agency, the military's quick response was critical in intercepting the smuggling operation. The authorities are now conducting an investigation to identify the individuals involved and to understand the broader network behind the smuggling attempt.

The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by military forces to secure the borders and prevent illegal activities in the region. The seized narcotics will undergo further examination by the competent authorities to determine their origin and intended destination.
