The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday condemned in the strongest terms the heinous massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday evening, which claimed the lives of 73 Palestinian martyrs and injured dozens others. In a statement on its website, the OIC said that the massacre represents an extension of thousands of massacres and genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people, in flagrant violation of all international values and conventions, United Nations resolutions, and the relevant orders of the International Court of Justice. The OIC stressed that the continuation and escalation of war crimes, destruction, starvation, targeting the displaced, and preventing humanitarian aid is a stain on the forehead of humanity, calling on the international community to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for all war crimes it commits and to end the policy of impunity. The OIC renewed its call on the UN Security Council to assume its resp onsibilities, impose an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and ensure urgent humanitarian access to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
