New York, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, took part in the "Roadmap Mission to 1.5°C " meeting, organised by the Troika Nations leading the COP of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Troika comprises the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and Brazil. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The minister commended the Troika's efforts in monitoring progress towards the 1.5°C target and the initiatives taken by member states. He affirmed Bahrain's commitment to backing initiatives that promote climate action, safeguarding the planet, and ensuring a safer future for the next generations. Dr. Bin Dainah also highlighted Bahrain's strategic approach in fulfilling its national and international commitments to combat climate change. He emphasised that achieving global climate security requires enhanced cooperation and shared responsibility among all nations.
