Overall Pass Rate for Shamel Exam at 62.3%, Announces Ajlouni

Al balqa: Al Balqa Applied University (BAU) President Ahmed Ajlouni announced on Wednesday the results of the Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, for the summer session of 2025.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ajlouni, who is also head of the higher committee of the exam, stated that the pass rate reached 62.3%, which is consistent with the exam's overall pass rates compared to previous sessions. A total of 8,351 students participated in the exam with one or more papers, out of which 5,208 students passed. These students were from 54 university and intermediate colleges, covering 118 academic and applied specializations.

Ajlouni mentioned that 11 students were absent for all papers, and 74 violations were recorded during the examination process. He emphasized that the university's Assessment and General Examinations Unit completed all result procedures with accuracy and integrity. The unit also reviewed electronic comments on exam questions as submitted by students in the exam halls or directly.

Specialized technical committees examined all students' feedback, and appropriate actions were taken to address the issues raised.
