The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Muhannad Aklouk, announced that his country has submitted an urgent request to hold an extraordinary session of the League Council at the level of permanent delegates as soon as possible. Aklouk told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the request received wide support from member states, pointing out that the meeting will be held in the next few days. The request for this meeting comes in light of the brutality of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and the crime of genocide committed by Israel, the occupying power, against the Palestinian people, reaching a more brutal phase in which the Israeli aggression aims to exterminate Palestinian civilians and carry out the most horrific forms of forced displacement, destruction, and starvation, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, in a systematic plan to completely empty it of its population amid international helplessness and silence Source: Jordan News Agency
