Khan younis: In a further ceasefire violation, the Israeli army killed a Palestinian on Friday in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, a medical source said. A medical source from Nasser Hospital stated that the man was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital with gunshot wounds caused by Israeli gunfire.
According to Anadolu Agency, the man was shot by Israeli forces firing into western Khan Younis, outside areas where the Israeli army is deployed, eyewitnesses reported. This incident marks a troubling continuation of violence despite a ceasefire agreement.
A ceasefire deal last October halted Israel's two-year war that resulted in the deaths of over 71,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children, injured more than 171,000 others, and left the enclave in ruins. However, despite the ceasefire, Israel's deadly attacks on Gaza continue unabated.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, since the ceasefire, at least 414 people have been killed and over 1,100 others injured, highlighting the ongoing human toll of the conflict.
