Passports Department Offices in Amman to Extend Saturday Hours in August

Amman: The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) announced that six of its main offices in Amman will operate on Saturdays until the end of August. This decision aims to address increased workloads and reduce waiting times for Jordanians seeking services.

According to Jordan News Agency, CSPD's Director-General Ghaith Tayeb stated that the temporary weekend schedule is intended to "streamline operations and enhance service delivery." Starting on Saturday, August 15, designated offices will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each Saturday.

The new operational hours are specifically applicable to CSPD's main headquarters located in the Tabarbour area of Amman. Additionally, branch offices in Ashrafiyeh, Wadi Al-Seer, Tla' Al-Ali, and Hay Nazzal will also follow the extended Saturday schedule.

Tayeb emphasized that the department is committed to upgrading its operations and improving "overall efficiency to meet public demand efficiently."
