Patient, medicine safety campaign kicks off

The Health Institutions Accreditation Council (HCAC) launched its Change Day Campaign on Monday on the occasion of World Patient Safety Day, one of the World Health Organization’s global public health days, which falls on September 17.

The campaign, launched for the ninth year in a row, aims to shed light on initiatives that ensure the safety of patients, service recipients, and workers in health institutions.

On behalf of Minister of Health Firas Hawari, the ministry’s Secretary-General for Administrative and Technical Affairs Ilham Khreisat also participated in the event held at the ministry headquarters.

The event, which seeks to motivate individuals and institutions working in the health sector, included innovative initiatives and activities for several ministry departments and employees to educate on medication safety and malpractices.
