Petra Director and MENA Discuss Media Cooperation

Amman: Director General of Jordan News Agency (Petra), Fairouz Mubaideen, emphasized the role of Egyptian media, particularly the Middle East News Agency (MENA), in supporting Arab causes.

According to Jordan News Agency, Mubaideen highlighted that Egyptian media significantly contributes to advancing Arab media by reporting facts and addressing pressing issues. During her meeting with the MENA correspondent in Amman, she stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between Petra and MENA in various areas of mutual interest, acknowledging the collaboration that has persisted for several decades.

Mubaideen also emphasized the need to keep pace with technological advancements and responsibly integrate artificial intelligence into media work. She advocated for continuous support and training of young media professionals to leverage their accumulated expertise.

In discussing the joint cooperation program, Mubaideen noted the potential for the two agencies to conduct online seminars for journalists. These seminars aim to exchange expertise, partner in media fields, and coordinate positions and visions. She further stressed the importance of developing media work mechanisms to better serve Arab interests.
