Khasawneh referred to Jordan’s efforts to create an “attractive” environment for local and foreign investments and endorse a new law to regulate its investment environment, stressing Jordan’s welcome of Bahraini investments and any partnerships between the two countries’ sovereign funds.

The PM presented the comprehensive modernization program that Jordan is implementing under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership, as Jordan enters its bicentennial, with its three political, economic and administrative tracks.

For his part, Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister said bilateral relations enjoy “special” importance, adding that his country is looking forward to strengthening ties through Joint Higher Committee.

Bahrain’s Crown Prince also expressed hope that the committee will yield outcomes, whose “positive” impacts would be reflected on the two brotherly countries and peoples.

He affirmed Bahrain’s interest in expanding cooperation horizons with Jordan in various fields, and removing any obstacles that impede the process of their joint cooperation, especially in the trade field.

Highlighting the committee’s preparatory meetings, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply and Minister of Labor Yosuef Shamali and Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullatif Zayani noted that the committee reached 7 agreements, memorandums of understanding (MoU) and executive programs, adding that a set of agreements would be signed during the coming period.

Shamali stressed the cooperation opportunities provided by the Integrated Industrial Partnership Initiative, which includes Jordan, the UAE and Egypt, and later joined by Bahrain, constitutes a step for “broader” economic integration between the four countries.

PM Khasawneh and Bahrain’s Crown Prince attended signing of 7 agreements and memorandums of understanding for Jordanian-Bahraini private sector, labor and vocational training field, health field, and an executive cooperation program in youth field for 2023 – 2025.

The agreements also include an executive cooperation program in the educational field and granting the right of sovereignty over information, and announcement of Jordan as a partner of Bahrain Global Sea-Air Hub for maritime-air freight services.

The PM and Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister also signed the minutes of the joint Jordanian-Bahraini Higher Committee’s meetings in its fifth session.
