PM Congratulates MP Mazen Qadi on Lower House Speakership Victory

Amman: Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan on Sunday extended his congratulations to MP Mazen Qadi for being elected as the Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives. This marked a significant moment as MP Qadi secured the lawmakers' confidence to assume the role of House Speaker for the current term, with the Prime Minister wishing him continued success in his new position.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Prime Minister also expressed his heartfelt thanks to Representative Ahmed Safadi for his commendable efforts during his previous tenure as House Speaker. During the first session of the Parliament's second ordinary session, the Prime Minister addressed the House, emphasizing the government's intention to maintain a close cooperative relationship with the Lower House of Representatives, adhering to the framework established by the Constitution.

The Prime Minister highlighted the joint efforts aimed at realizing the objectives outlined in the Speech from the Throne. Delivered earlier that day, the speech contained directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, emphasizing a commitment to serving the nation. Dr. Hassan assured the government's dedication to the Policy Statement he presented less than a year ago, reaffirming his commitment to executing its contents.

In his closing remarks, the Prime Minister expressed his hopes for the legislative and executive authorities in Jordan to succeed in their endeavors to serve the Kingdom and its people generously.
