Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Monday congratulated Egyptian farmers and peasants on Farmers' Day. On the 72nd anniversary of the day, Madbouli said this occasion is meant to commemorate decades of hard work by the Egyptian farmers, whose efforts greatly contributed to developing the agricultural sector - one of the major pillars of the national economy. He stressed that his government is working on a program that pays big attention to food security, noting that support for farmers is in the heart of this program.
