Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Saturday visited the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to assess its preparedness for emergencies during the polar front currently impacting the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, Prime Minister Hassan visited the operations room, accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Housing Ahmad Abul Samen. During his visit, he emphasized the importance of maintaining high readiness to address weather-related incidents in collaboration with relevant bodies. He urged various government agencies to respond swiftly to requests for assistance and to prioritize addressing public complaints while ensuring the safety and service of citizens.
The Prime Minister received a briefing on the workflow in the main and other operations rooms throughout the Kingdom. He also reviewed the machinery and rescue systems employed by the ministry to respond quickly to citizen calls, especially those residing near valleys or low-lying areas, where heavy rain could result in flash floods.
