PM Jafar Hassan and Qatari Prime Minister to Co-Chair Joint Higher Committee Meeting

Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan is set to engage in discussions on Sunday with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who is scheduled to arrive in the Kingdom on Saturday evening.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al Thani and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will jointly lead the fifth session of the Jordanian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee. This committee, established in 1966, is co-chaired by the foreign ministers of Jordan and Qatar, underscoring the enduring and cooperative relationship between the two nations.

The committee meeting is poised to highlight the shared dedication of both countries to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors. During the session, several memoranda of understanding and executive programs are anticipated to be signed, marking a significant step in bilateral relations.

On Saturday, the preparatory committee for the fifth session convened, led by Dana Al-Zoubi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Nayef bin Abdullah Al-Emadi, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
