Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued a decree to reappoint Ahmed Elsheikh as the Egyptian Stock Exchange's (EGX) chairman and Heba ElSerafi as the vice chairman for a one-year term, starting 26 August. Elsheikh was appointed chairman of the EGX on 23 August 2023. During his first term, EGX launched its stock exchange dialogue platform on its online portal. Moreover, it completed steps toward launching the Pan African Voluntary Carbon Market, under Elsheikh's chairmanship.
