PM Visits Amman Tourist Beach Rehabilitation Project

Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan toured the Dead Sea area on Wednesday to check on progress of the Amman Tourist Beach Rehabilitation Project. Accompanied by Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, Hassan urged acceleration of work to complete the project and open the beach to visitors during Independence Day and Eid al-Adha holidays.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hassan called for high-quality services, which are scheduled to run until 1:00 AM during the upcoming holidays. Shawarbeh provided a briefing on the project, which covers a total area of 450 dunums and is powered by solar energy. The first phase has been completed to accommodate 2,500 visitors.

The rehabilitation work includes the installment of 150 umbrellas, planting of trees, building of parking areas, and sport facilities, along with other services such as food carts. The beach is operated by Greater Amman Municipality staff, with logistical support from the Public Security Directorate and Civil Defence Department to ensure safety and service quality.
