Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Wednesday received a delegation from France’s National Assembly’s Committee on National Defence and Armed Forces, currently on a regional tour.

The prime minister discussed with the delegation, led by President of the National Defense and Armed Forces Committee Françoise Dumas, ways of cementing Jordanian-French relations to serve the interests of both nations.

Khasawneh stressed Jordanian-French ties and said the Kingdom appreciates French assistance as well as investment in major projects.

Speaking on the region, the premier said it will not enjoy security and stability unless a just solution to the Palestinian issue is found, noting that most of the problems and challenges facing the region are rooted in the failure to find a just and lasting solution to this issue.

The head of the delegation affirmed that this tour to the region aims to enhance security and stability efforts and find solutions to the challenges facing the region and its peoples.
