Prime Minister and Arab Parliament Speaker Engage in Talks on Regional Developments

Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Sunday welcomed Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi and a delegation of Arab Parliament members to discuss regional developments and joint Arab action. During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the crucial role of the Arab Parliament in fostering unified Arab stances and rallying support for key Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need for combined efforts to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and to ensure the immediate and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid to address the severe humanitarian crisis faced by the people in the Strip. The discussions also touched on the Israeli escalation in the West Bank, with Hassan reiterating that protecting the rights of the Palestinian people on their land and ending Israeli violations against them are top priorities for Jordan.

In response, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi lauded Jordan's role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in advocating for Arab causes and promoting the Palestinian issue on international platforms. He also acknowledged Jordan's significant efforts in providing humanitarian assistance to Gaza's population.
