Prime Minister Jafar Hassan Evaluates Development and Service Projects in Karak

Karak: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan visited Karak to inspect six key development and service sites as part of the government's initiative to enhance public services and infrastructure throughout the Kingdom. At the Prince Faisal Sports City, Hassan, alongside Minister of Youth Raed Adwan, assessed the progress of the three-phase project, emphasizing the importance of adhering to both schedule and quality standards, which include the addition of green spaces, sports fields, and facilities for families. This visit marks Hassan's second inspection of the site; during his initial visit in November 2024, he had instructed the concurrent completion of all phases to maximize community benefits.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hassan also visited an unfinished government building, acquired by the Ministry of Finance in 2016, and directed its allocation to Mutah University to function as a clinical facility for its College of Dentistry. Accompanied by Minister of Higher Education Azmi Mahafzah and University President Salama Naimat, Hassan received a briefing on the five-story structure, which will host dental clinics, laboratories, and radiology units to serve both students and the local community.

The Prime Minister's visit extended to the newly inaugurated Moab Centre for Integrated Social Services, the district's first facility of its kind. Joined by Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa, he instructed the creation of a park and children's play area, along with necessary supplies and transport services to enhance access and service delivery. Hassan emphasized the importance of developing specialized programs tailored to the needs of beneficiaries.

At the Moab Vocational Training Institute, Hassan evaluated training programs for 307 trainees in areas such as hairdressing, auto mechanics, and food processing. With Minister of Labour Khaled Bakkar, he advocated for the extension of these programs and recommended linking local food and craft products to the government-backed "Khairat Al-Dar" e-commerce platform. He also called for the provision of new computers and air conditioning units for the institute and supported the expansion of its hydroponic farming project in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture to encourage youth participation in modern agricultural techniques.

During his visit to the Muhi Al-Awwali Health Centre in the Southern Mazar District, accompanied by Minister of Health Ibrahim Bdour, the Prime Minister toured the facility, interacting with staff and patients. He ordered the addition of medical personnel and the provision of necessary maintenance and equipment to improve services.

Hassan's final stop was at the Qatrana Castle archaeological site, where he reviewed the ongoing development efforts. Scheduled for completion next month, the project includes the construction of a visitor center, rest areas, historical site lighting, and the restoration of an adjacent historic pool. In February, Hassan had directed the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to develop the site in recognition of its cultural and touristic importance.
