Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Sunday received the National Centre for Human Rights' annual report on the state of human rights in Jordan for 2025. The report, which is the 22nd edition released by the Centre, was presented during a meeting at the Prime Ministry. Chairperson of the Centre's Board of Trustees Samar Haj Hassan and Commissioner-General for Human Rights Jamal Shamayleh were present to hand over the report.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting provided a platform for the two sides to review the report's main findings and recommendations. Discussions primarily focused on measures aimed at further strengthening the human rights framework within the Kingdom. The dialogue emphasized the importance of implementing the proposed recommendations to enhance human rights protections and practices in the country.
Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Abdel Latif Najdawi was also in attendance, indicating the high level of governmental interest and commitment to addressing human rights issues as outlined in the report. The meeting underscored the government's ongoing efforts to engage with human rights institutions and take actionable steps towards improving the human rights landscape in Jordan.
