Amman: The Prime Ministry is set to launch a series of workshops starting tomorrow, Monday, to deliberate on the second executive programme of the Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap for 2026-2029. These sessions, which will continue through Wednesday, aim to gather insights from experts and specialists across both public and private sectors to meticulously review and refine the programme before its anticipated announcement.
According to Jordan News Agency, Minister of State for Public Sector Development Badriya Balbisi will inaugurate the first workshop, which will concentrate on enhancing government services and procedures, data management, and the integration of emerging technologies. The discussions on Tuesday will pivot towards improving governance and regulatory frameworks, alongside human resources development, leadership, and fostering an organisational culture conducive to innovation.
The concluding session on Wednesday is expected to focus on evaluating existing policies and legislation, in addition to exploring strategies for improving spending efficiency. In preparation for this crucial second executive programme, the Prime Ministry has conducted seven discussion sessions and multiple interactive meetings with secretaries-general and directors-general from various ministries and government institutions. These efforts have been aimed at compiling recommendations and ensuring that the roadmap's objectives are met with coherence and precision.
Originally launched in 2022 as a comprehensive ten-year plan, the Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap encompasses seven key components: government services and procedures, governance and the regulatory environment, policies and legislation, human resources and leadership, organisational culture, data and emerging technologies, and spending efficiency.
